Missions:  Give. Go. Do.

As a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, RBC supports the convention's Cooperative Program, which funds the work of Southern Baptist missionaries around the world.  These vital mission opportunities help fulfill the Great Commission, but our church's mission involvement does not stop there.  We feel a strong calling not only to GIVE but to GO and DO, which includes local, state, national and international mission projects.

Local
We help address the social needs of our community through local programs. Our volunteers assist seniors by delivering meals through the Meals on Wheels program. One of the youth's mission projects, The Generous Bowl, collects food for the Samaritan Center, an interfaith agency that supports food, clothing, utilities and other needs in Central Missouri. We support the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri, a hunger relief network that distributes food in Russellville every month.  The youth also participate in 3MT (Mid-Missouri Mission Team) for one week each summer where they paint houses and do other miscellaneous projects for people who either cannnot afford it or are unable to do it themselves.

National
World Changers, a program sponsored by the North American Mission Board, gives our youth, as well as adults, an opportunity for week-long construction projects throughout the U.S. RBC’s involvement began in 1995 with two leaders and eight teenage boys. Since that time, the ministry has grown to include our entire youth group and adults from our congregation.

We have been on trips spanning the country from Virginia to Montana, Texas to Michigan, and right at home in Jefferson City. Several of our youth and adults have served in World Changers leadership positions, ensuring the work continues to bless homeowners, communities and participating youth groups from across the nation.

RBC's World Changers are compelled to not only serve nationally but also locally. They complete pre-projects throughout the year, assisting community members with roofs, handicap ramps and a variety of other home improvement needs. These projects meet local needs while giving the youth construction experience to help them prepare for week-long projects.

International
In past years, RBC has held international mission ties to Romania, Belarus and North Africa.  We have sent several teams on short-term trips.
